Thank
you to everyone that attended and supported Asheville ALIVE 2010!
Exhibitors, spectators,
sponsors, vendors and more all celebrated the 28th annual Piedmont
Classic Paso Fino Horse Show. We enjoyed the many exciting events
Asheville ALIVE 2010 had to offer including the Orthoflex Exhibitor
Party, BMW's “Black Tie & Boots Extravaganza” and the Tractor
Supply Youth Pavilion. The arena was filled with a festival atmosphere,
the classes offered intense competition and everyone enjoyed browsing
and shopping the new vendors of Asheville. To the many sponsors,
“Thank You” for your support whether through monetary contributions
or donations in-kind, we cannot do it without your support!
Our Youth competitors
enjoyed the many workshops in the Tractor Supply Youth Pavilion
learning new skills from our professionals. “Thank you” to Kathy
Yarborough for your generous support of our youth for the $200
show voucher that enabled each youth to participate in their classes.
It was exciting to see the future of our breed to be so involved
in the many activities offered at Asheville ALIVE.
"Thank you"
to our show officials and announcers for their outstanding commitment
and performance for our Paso Fino breed! The classes were filled
with exceptional horses and competitors! Our exhibitors and spectators
gathered in Asheville from far away places including Miami to
Alberta, Canada! For all these spectacular reasons, this is why
the Piedmont Classic has been nicknamed "The Mini-Nationals".
The concept of Asheville
ALIVE 2010 had been in the works for over a year and is the foundation
to build upon for future years of Asheville ALIVE ! We welcome

The Tractor
Supply Youth Pavilion is a new and exciting venue which will
be located in the bottom arena. There will be learning sessions
hosted by TSC and other partners to learn about the Paso Fino
Breed, the diverse opportunities within the breed and general

Asheville ALIVE 2010 Piedmont
Classic Paso Fino Horse Show will host a MANNA
Food Drive called “FINO FOR FOOD” throughout
the four day event to be held June 24 -27, 2010 at the Western
AG Center in Asheville, NC. All exhibitors, spectators, vendors
and sponsors will be encouraged to bring in nonperishable food
items to be donated at the Western AG Center that will help
Piedmont Paso Fino Horse Association to fill Horse Trailers
for MANNA Food Bank.
“FINO FOR FOOD” is
a way for all to help the communities of Western North Carolina
during these most difficult and challenging economic times.
As exhibitors, we are each blessed that we can continue to enjoy
our passion to show our Paso Fino Horses in Asheville and we
recognize the critical need for our support in the Asheville

Show to use the $200. Show Voucher towards YOUTH
SHOW EXPENSE. PFHA Amateur/Owner Committee has graciously
and generously donated a $200.00 SHOW EXPENSE VOUCHER to all eligible
YOUTH EXHIBITORS that can be applied to the Asheville ALIVE 2010
Piedmont Classic Paso Fino Horse Show in JUNE. PPFHA has designated
Asheville ALIVE 2010 as the region's YOUTH SHOW to use the voucher.

STALL ASSIGNMENTS:
Show committee reduced stall fees to a flat $100 per stall. Will
be first come first reserved -- Farms/Exhibitors need to
send a $100 deposit to Jill Graff
to secure reservations for # of stalls and location. All
reservations will be date stamped and stalls assigned upon receipt
of deposit to be applied to final show bill. NO PHONE CALLS will
be excepted for reservations.
This is a
big change - we've reduced stall fees but also reducing the
complexity in the management of the stalls - to keep those fees
down for all to make more affordable. Jill is the only one that
can make reservations and all entries will be date stamped for
"audit" purposes and stalls assigned. We need
to make sure people understand this as well.

Asheville
ALIVE 2010 Presents Karen Head on Thursday, June 24th @ 5pm
Karen Head, the
founder and director of Equinection, is a nationally recognized
practitioner in equine facilitated learning. Karen has worked
with hundreds of participants, helping them to gain insight and
awareness to enrich their lives. From the age of 5, Karen has
worked with horses. She has an eclectic equestrian background
from attending the Greenway School of Equitation to working as
a cowhand on a commercial cattle ranch. Karen brings vitality
and passion to her work with clients at Equinection. She is an
Advanced Epona Approach Facilitator, A Nationally Certified Equine
Learning Facilitator and holds a master's degree in Creative Arts
Education. She is a co-author of the book, “Horses as Teachers”.
