Dear Competition
Officials,
In 2010 the United
States Equestrian Federation held the "My USEF Favorite
Breed Competition" contest. On December 22, 2010 USEF sent
a press release announcing the winners for each breed. We wouid
like to congratulate the Piedmont Classic Horse Show on being
included in the list of winners! We don't get a lot of evaluations
(good or bad) in a year's time and the fact that your exhibitors
took the time to tell us about their positive experience at
your show means a lot! We'd like to share some of those comments
with you below:
"I love showing
at Asheville because there are a lot of horses and I meet people
from all over the US and I have a lot of fun."
"The Piedmont Classic is like the city of Asheville, welcoming
and vibrant. Asheville has a lot to offer outside of the show
ring, locally owned shops and art galleries, distinctive restaurants
and exciting entertainment venues. This was the 28th year of
the Piedmont Classic and I have to say it was probably one of
the best years. It was truly alive, the spectators, exhibitors,
vendors, the food, and especially the horses!"
"THL PIEDMONT
CLASSIC, ASHEVILLE ALIVE 2010 WAS AMAZING!!!!! It is 2 shows
in 1, twice the fun, twice the experience, twice the extravagance."
"Spectators,
vendors, great competition!"
"The
Best of The Best Paso Finos come to show their beauty, grace
and fine gaits at The Piedmont Classic! Horses come from far
and near, and its known as the 'PFHA Mini -Nationals'! If you
do well at The Piedmont Classic or often just called 'Asheville',
you should do the same at the Grand Nationals. Also, the arena
and outside have a fuli range of tack and interesting vendors,
there are horse activities for the youth and time to visit and
catch up with new and old friends who come to the show whether
exhibiting or just to watch."
"The
show was well attended, very organized, fun."
"Wonderful
management--festive with plenty of hospitality."
"The
cool mountain background gives a lift to your hot summer spirits
as you arrive at the show. Everyone is here from Chicago, to
Florida to Missouri and Connecticut to see how you and your
national final hopeful will stack up in the biggest competition
show of the year!"
"Lots
of wonderful horses, and great location."
"The
show was fun and the kids had a good time."
"Good
competition, lots of fun, close to home."
"Lots
of very good horses, lots of very good friends, and, of course,
the Dinner in the ring."
"Show
was very well attended by some of the best of the Paso Fino
breed. Supported by many farms from all over the US."
''Incredible
competition, fun entertainment."
"The
most complete show...compel it ion, entertainment, fellowship...great
location!"
"The
competition is great and the show is designed to support and
highlight the exhibitors and horses. Competitors from many different
states make the show like a mini-nationals. The show management
is easy to work with and the dinner party during the show is
exciting."
Tun show with
lots of exhibitors from many states, good competition."
"Lots
of stuff for the youth riders, kids from different barns and
regions."
As a breed category
winner, you will be receiving a 2010 Favorite Breed Competition
plaque from USEF' sometime in January for this accomplishment.
Once again, we would like to congratulate your competition on
being one of the favorite USCF competitions among Paso Fino
exhibitors. We appreciate your efforts in making this USF.F
competition a special event for exhibitors each year and thank
you for continuing to hold USEF licensed competitions in the
future. Please look for the voting to start up again in 2011!
